Let’s Learn Webinar on Clinical Trials on October 28th

announcement for clinical trials webinar
Why should pancreatic cancer patients look for clinical trials?

Join our Let’s Learn webinar about the Importance of Clinical Trials on Thursday October 28th at 7 pm ET.  Sign up now to learn more about what makes clinical trials such an important part of pancreatic cancer treatment. The hour-long webinar will be recorded, and a link plus the presentation will be sent to everyone who registers, to review the discussion.

The webinar panel features pancreatic cancer survivors and clinical trial participants Randall Swan and Robert Weker, and Dr. Jose Trevino, whose current research includes diversity issues in clinical trials. The moderator is BRCA advocate Erika Stallings.

About 60,000 people are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer each year in the U.S., and the rate of occurrence is slightly higher in Blacks than any other race.  The five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is about 10%, in part because the disease is often diagnosed at an advanced stage. This is because tumors are not found on a physical exam and the symptoms mimic many other more common conditions.

Register here to learn more about the role of clinical trials in pancreatic cancer treatment.
