Standing on the Shoulders of Giants
When Tom was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer he was told there was no hope for a cure for him.
Tom found doctors who were willing to take a chance and treat him. When the tumors shrunk he set a goal of surgery for the tumors in his pancreas and liver, and found a doctor who was willing to attempt both procedures at the same time.
