Breathe Happy

When Helene Avraham-Katz was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, she and her family made the decision to fight it with everything they could.

She had chemotherapy and a Whipple procedure but the cancer came back after a year. Helene knew she was BRCA2 positive, so she looked for clinical trials that matched her genetic mutation. She’s now on a PARP inhibitor and doing well. She runs her store The Butterfly Effect, and enjoys her life.

Helene passed away after a seven-year struggle with pancreatic cancer. She proclaimed she was not a statistic and focused on living her life to the fullest. We offer our deepest sympathy to her family.

Read more about Helene in “The Butterfly Effect and Living Every Day to My Fullest.”
