Air Care Alliance is an organization of charitable flying groups, whose volunteers work to transport patients with financial need or other special circumstances to facilities where they are able to receive medical attention they might otherwise have to do without.

HHN is a nationwide professional association of nearly 200 nonprofit organizations that provide lodging and support services to patients, families, and their loved ones while receiving medical treatment far from their home communities.

A program from the American Cancer Society, Hope Lodge offers cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment may be in another city. Hope Lodge provides a home-like environment where guests can retreat to private rooms or connect with others. Available in more than 30 locations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Joe’s House is a website that acts as an information clearinghouse for places to stay across the country near hospitals and treatments centers that offer a discount for traveling patients and their loved ones. The database is searchable by location and cost.

LifeLine Pilots facilitates free flights in private aircraft for such medical needs as ongoing medical treatments, diagnosis, and follow-up care throughout the Midwest.

Mercy Medical Angels provides financial assistance for ground transportation to medical treatments and flights to facilities with volunteer pilots or on commercial airlines.
