Mike Greenstein is the U.S. & Global Alternative Asset Management Leader in PwC’s Asset Management practice. Mike serves as the engagement partner and business advisor to alternative investment funds of all kinds, including hedge funds, private equity funds, fund-of-funds, investment advisors, large endowments, and other clients.
Mike brings over 25 years of experience serving many of the Firm’s most complex fund clients, ranging from start-up managers to multi-national, multi-billion dollar firms, many of which maintain complex structures and employ complex investing strategies.
Mike adds value to his clients and the industry by combining his deep industry knowledge, commitment, and leadership, with a collaborative style and a practical approach. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and in the media on issues and developments impacting the alternative asset management industry. In addition, Mike has been heavily involved with various thought leadership efforts and with industry efforts, groups, and regulators on key industry issues.
As a leader within PwC, Mike is actively engaged in HeForShe, a United Nations initiative to promote gender equality around the world and in the workplace. Mike is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Managed Funds Association and a member of the Audit Committee of the Chappaqua Central School District, Chappaqua, New York.
Mike is a content introvert who enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, learning about and practicing meditation and karate, exercising, reading, and resting from all of the above. Mike is also a certified mindfulness teacher, having completed a 300-hour mindfulness training program through the Engaged Mindfulness Institute.
Mike received a B.S. in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, from Binghamton University and a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia Business School.
