Yolanda L. Jackson’s Story

Yolanda was a long-term survivor of pancreatic cancer.

Diagnosed at stage III, Yolanda kept working through treatment, and adjusted to her “new normal.”

In 2018 she had a recurrence of her cancer, and passed away on July 5, 2019, after a recurrence of her cancer. She won against this disease by living fully for 11 years. We will take the lessons she taught us—courage, resilience, and determination—and use them to help everyone affected by this disease.

Read more about how her earlier diagnosis helped her become an 11-year survivor, in “Keeping My Promise Lead to an Earlier Diagnosis.”
