Let’s Win in a Spectrum News NY1 Report for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month

Cindy Gavin and Dr. Allyson Ocean were featured in a television news report about pancreatic cancer.

For Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, the Spectrum News NY1 showed a report “A pancreatic cancer survivor’s story,” about a pancreatic cancer patient’s treatment. The report included a video from Let’s Win that provides basic information about pancreatic cancer.

Dr. Allyson J. Ocean, an oncologist & co-founder of Let’s Win Pancreatic Cancer, says that pancreatic cancer is also increasing in frequency and is soon to become the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States.

“About 60,000 are diagnosed yearly in the United States. Unfortunately, about 55,000 of them will pass away from the disease,” Ocean said.
