Barbara J. Kenner, Ph.D.

Founder, Kenner Family Research Fund

Barbara Kenner established Kenner Family Research Fund (KFRF) in memory of her husband Peter, who died shortly after he was diagnosed with pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer. The purpose of KFRF is to facilitate the development of an early detection methodology for pancreatic cancer in order to improve survival.

Dr. Kenner is a founding partner of Neuropsychological Assessment and Consultation Services LLP, which provides neuropsychological assessment services for children, adolescents, and adults. She earned her Ph.D. from New York University Steinhardt School and completed pre- and postdoctoral fellowships at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. A past member of the NYU Steinhardt Dean’s Council, Dr. Kenner recently received the school’s Distinguished Alumna Achievement Award. She also serves on the American Pancreatic Foundation, and the boards of the Weizmann Philanthropic Forum for Women and the Bard Music Festival.
