The SHARON Trial

Sharon Seibel was surprised and devasted by her diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

Despite a family history of ovarian cancer and a BRCA mutation, she was unaware of the relationship with pancreatic cancer. After radiation and Whipple procedure, Sharon discovered she would need more treatment. Her brother, a cancer researcher, helped develop a novel approach, which Sharon took, as the first person with pancreatic cancer to try this. A modified version of this drug is used in the SHARON trial, and Sharon herself is here 13 years later to share her story.
