Vitamin D Deficiency Linked to Pancreatic Cancer Survival

Vitamin D deficiency prior to cancer treatment is associated with increased inflammation and shorter overall survival in patients with pancreatic cancer, according to a study published in the European Journal of Cancer.

A research team from Denmark assessed the relationship between pre-treatment serum vitamin D levels, inflammatory biomarkers, and overall survival (OS) in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). A total of 1,267 patients with PDAC were enrolled. Read more . . .
