Pancreatic Cyst Ablation Succeeds Without Alcohol

Ethanol lavage may not be necessary for effective pancreatic cyst ablation, a researcher reported here at World Congress of Gastroenterology at ACG2017.

In the prospective randomized CHARM Trial, patients randomized to the ethanol arm achieved a 61% rate of complete ablation at 12 months compared with 67% of patients who received normal saline, reported Matthew Moyer, MD, of Penn State University Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Read more . . .
