The World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition held its inaugural meeting in May in Orlando, Florida, with representatives of 50 organizations (including Let’s Win), from nearly 20 countries attending.

The organization is open to nonprofit patient advocacy organizations that provide services or information to pancreatic cancer patients and their caregivers, as well as nonprofit supporter organizations including research or medical associations.

As they prepare for World Pancreatic Cancer Day on November 17, 2016, coalition chairperson Julie Fleshman, CEO of Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and member Diane C. Tonelli, founding member of the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance, spoke with HemOnc Today about the group’s goals and plans. Read the whole story on the Healio website.

Editor’s note: Let’s Win managing executive director Cindy Gavin is on the World Pancreatic Cancer Committee Steering Committee.
